David A. TendlerM.D.
Dr. David Tendler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a 1993 graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, where he served as class president and was named a Farr Scholar for “superior performance… leadership, integrity and intellectual honesty in pursuit of medical knowledge at Yale.” Dr. Tendler completed both his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. In 1999, Dr. Tendler joined the gastroenterology faculty at Duke University Medical Center and was honored in 2003 with the Paul G. Killenberg Fellow Teaching Award in Gastroenterology. He went into private practice after his many academic medical accomplishments.
He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters in the fields of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He was named one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
